Montreal Steak on the Grill

Just when you thought you ran out of idea on what to cook for supper during the grilling season, the simplest recipe comes to the rescue. I like mixing my own dry rub for grilling, marinades and glaze but once in a while it is not a sin to turn to the grocery aisle for premix. After all, these companies spent a fortune on research and development to come up with their seasoning products.

When it comes to buying grilling seasoning in a store, I am particularly fond of McCormick. After all, the company started out selling bottles of spices and dried herbs. The Montreal Steak seasoning in particular, in my opinion, is outstanding. So, why not, sprinkle some ready mix rub onto your steak and pour some salad dressings onto the vegetables before grilling. Sometimes the best thing in life is that simple.

Montreal Steak Seasoning

Directions

Step 1: Marinade steak with salt, pepper and Montreal steak seasoning. Let sit for 30 mins in a refrigerator.

Step 2: Preheat grill to 450F. Grill steak for about 10 mins per side for medium rare or test with a meat thermometer till internal temperature reaches 145F.

Step 3: Wrap steak in foil and let rest for 5-10 mins before serving.

Step 4: Serve steak with grilled vegetables, potato salad and beans.

  1. Hubby and I love using Montreal Steak Spice. When we forget to marinade our meats, this comes to the rescue.
